Bolt production was the foundation of TBS and is still an integral part of the product family. A long-standing part of the portfolio, slider and retainer clips can be produced in a range of spring steel and stainless materials, with corrosion and noise cancelling coatings as required, using batch or continuous stamping depending on required volumes.
A high proportion of virgin material, a close adherence to OE quality and 100% testing for electrical continuity mean our electronic wear indicators can be relied on to fit and work without a second thought.
This tried and tested solution is still widely used in brake pad applications and TBS’s wear indicators can be relied on to unfailing notify the driver of the need to service the car without causing disc damage or scoring.
TBS is proud of its range of damping weights, using both machining and investment casting techniques to produce parts for both OE and aftermarket. In many cases we possess original production drawings for these parts which allow TBS to supply a technically challenging product with complete confidence.
There is more to pad retaining springs than meets the eye, having the need of performing many cycles without fatigue or deformation while withstanding the arduous environment in which they operate with the additional effects of winter weather and road salt. TBS’s testing programs ensure that batches meet our specification before release to the market.
